The surface area of the “head-nest™” is a very important consideration for neck comfort and support. Not only does the cushion arc create a soft, cozy nest for the head and neck, the cushion arc also moves the head-nest up approximately 1-2 inches which naturally creates a larger landing zone for the head and face. Physics instructs us that the greater the area, the less pressure, resulting in less stress and more comfort. The “gusset” in the outer shell allows a larger landing zone in the head-nest area.
