When shopping for pillows, the most important factors to consider are materials used, the FILL, the density, length/width, and the THICKNESS (loft):
One big consideration to consider is the material used in manufacturing your pillow—inside and out. Pillows generally consist of some type of fill material surrounded by a soft cotton fabric meant to be covered by a pillowcase and/or protector.
In all my 28 years designing pillows, “what’s in it” is, by far, the number one question I am asked.
We have been using the same FILL for over 25 years, with great results. We want to achieve just the right balance between softness, stability, and durability. Our FILL also has to be so precise (+/- .5 oz.), we have never found (or looked) for a manufacturer that could match our long time supplier – Harris.
